Maths puzzle division

Question 1): The difference of the squares of two consecutive even integers is divisible by which of the following numbers?

Option :  A) 3      B) 4       C) 5        D) 6





Solution  1) Let two consecutive  even integers are A and A+2  then difference of their squares will be
  (A + 2)2  - (A)2   =  4A + 4 = 4 ( A + 1)
So it will be divisible by 4.

Answer :  B) 1

 Note : A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 3.

option :  A)  5      b)   8        C) 9      D) 4



Answer C) 9

Note :  If the last two digits of a whole number are divisible by 4, then the entire number is divisible by 4

Question :  If we divide an Integer N by 5 , we get remainder 4 .  What reminder we will get if we divide 3N by 5 ?


Answer :  2
